{"id":53341,"date":"2026-09-02T00:05:30","date_gmt":"2026-09-02T00:05:30","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.worldof8billion.org\/?p=53341"},"modified":"2026-08-31T14:51:44","modified_gmt":"2026-08-31T14:51:44","slug":"grant","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.worldof8billion.org\/zh\/grant\/","title":{"rendered":"Funds for Teachers Participating in Student Video Contest"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Again this year, we invited Teachers interested in having students participate in the 2026-2027 World of 8 Billion student video contest to apply for mini-grants of $100-$500 to support students\u2019 success in the contest.<\/p>\n<h2>The Purpose of the W8B Teacher\u2019s Grant<\/h2>\n<p>We recognize that not all schools, and therefore not all students, have the same resources available to them when participating in a video contest. We want to help level the playing field by offering funds to teachers that will be used to directly impact their students making video submissions for the World of 8 Billion contest.<\/p>\n<h3>Who Can Apply for the W8B Teacher\u2019s Grant?<\/h3>\n<p>Grants will be awarded to teachers in the United States who will have students participate in the World of 8 Billion student video contest. The contest is open to middle and high school students, so the grant will be awarded to middle and high school teachers.<\/p>\n<h3>What Can the W8B Teacher\u2019s Grant be Used For?<\/h3>\n<p>Funds provided to teachers can be used for anything that directly supports your students&#8217; participation in the World of 8 Billion video contest. This could include software like an animation program, or hardware like a digital camera or microphone. The grant could also be used for a (one-year) subscription for video editing software like WeVideo or even to bring in a filmmaking or editing expert to do some tutorials or coaching.<\/p>\n<p>No matter the exact use, the funds should mean that either more students are able to participate in the contest by removing obstacles, or that your participating students are able to do new and exciting things for their videos.<\/p>\n<h2>How Do I Apply for the W8B Teacher\u2019s Grant?<\/h2>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/forms.gle\/y77dvzEZhB4qXvGCA\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Click here to apply!<\/span><\/a> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The application is an easy-to-fill form and includes the grant rules and guidelines.
